Tabulation

  • 18 statements were included and respondents were asked to agree or disagree on a 5-point scale
  • Since the main objective of the survey was to validate the draft position on any downtown Port development, the position as published was used verbatim in the first section
  • Longer statements are not usually suited for survey work, and ample comment sections were provided for each question to capture any confusion, questions, alternate opinions and/or suggestions
  • Quantitative analysis was conducted on the 18 questions with supporting qualitative summary themes from the comments
  • All qualitative comments were examined and classified by common themes
